The Voluntary Sector with HVA

On the show on 28th January:

Guest host Chris Carlin will be talking to Ann McCraken from o2. She'll be explaining o2's new community programme and how it will benefit the voluntary sector in Halton.

For lovers of acting and theatre, Mary O'Connor (from People Making Theatre) will be promoting her group's upcoming performance of Alan Ayckbourn's Comic Potential.

Live from his attempts to cross the Alps in a car (honestly!), Mike Metcalf will be joining us to promote his noble effort to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Just visit http://www.justgiving.com/alps2010 and donate what you can. Tell him HVA sent you.

Chris will also be replaying the thoughts of David Parr (Chief Executive of Halton Borough Council) and Richard Caulfield (Chief Executive of Voluntary Sector North West) which were originally broadcast at HVA's AGM. Both gentlemen will be explaining what they believe to be the main challenges facing Halton and the North West and the impact of the current economic crisis on the voluntary sector.

We also have a report from the superb vinvolved Ultra Violet Awards Night which includes the thoughts of Lee & Ceri (vinvolved), Peter Shimwell & Chris Hindley (Youth Federation), Derek Twigg (Halton MP) and Stew Holmes (Platform 2 and Halton's Youth Action Team).

Finally, Lee Goodier (from HVA) will be joining Chris to introduce another "Voluntary Opportunity of the Week". Will the opportunity be at your organisation?
